Veil of the North
Emotionally raw and vulnerable, Maeve Sinclair is torn from her life as a critical care paramedic in the year 2025 and is thrust through time and space, and into the brutal and unforgiving world of 1000 AD. Disoriented, she finds herself in Norway at the pinnacle of the Viking era. Where myths bleed into reality, gods walk among men, and magic isn’t just fantasy. It lingers in the forests and fjords, hidden just beyond the veil.
With tensions between Norway and England at an all time high, Maeve finds herself in a precarious position. Survival isn’t guaranteed, the chances dropping significantly when she is accused of being a Saxon spy. She must earn the right to live and gain her freedom back. Along the way she must learn to navigate the treacherous world of Norse and Viking politics and society, uncovering the truth about her bloodline and the ancestors she never knew of in the process.
As her connection to this world deepens she realizes that it is dying. There is something ancient awakening, and it’s already consuming everything in its path. Can she survive long enough to save this world and return to her place in time?
